The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word and is inerrant in the original writings. We further believe that the Scriptures are the written revelation of God's will and the supreme and final authority for all faith and practice. (II Tim. 3:16, 17)

The Godhead
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-4; Matt 28:19-20; II Cor 13:14)

The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, perfect substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the whole world, bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father. We believe in the personal return of Christ to receive His Church unto Himself. (Matt. 1:18-23)

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin. He indwells believers and fills them with the power to live a life pleasing to God. (John 14:16-17; 15:26; 16:13-14; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:9)

Man
We believe that man was created by God and in His image, but that he sinned and as a consequence is guilty before God—resulting in physical and spiritual death (separation from God). This sinful condition and resultant death has been transmitted to the entire human race (Christ being the only exception).     (Gen. 1:26; 2:17; Eph. 2:1-3; Rom. 5:12-19)

Salvation
Since all of mankind is separated from God, it follows that all need to be reconciled to God. We believe this comes only by trusting in Christ alone, His substitutionary death, and His bodily resurrection on our behalf. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God. (Rom. 5:6-9; II Cor. 5:21; Eph. 1:7, 2:8-9)

Spiritual Standard

All board members, staff members, and workers in any capacity shall be committed to Christ and His service.

They shall seek to live a Christ-like life as described in Romans 12:10-12: “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.”

Doctrinal Position

Camp Cedarbrook serves many denominations and individual churches, and has purposely kept its doctrinal statement confined to the basic tenets of the faith. Because of the numerous positions held by our constituency, we ask that the charismatic gifts of tongues and healing not be practiced or promoted while at camp.
